Oak Leaf Discovery Tour: One Day Bike Challenge

Do you enjoy exploring parks and trails at your pace? Do you love biking the trails in Milwaukee County, or do you want to learn more about them? This event is for you!
The Wisconsin Bike Fed, The Bella Donnas, and others involved in the bicycling community have planned a one day bike event to celebrate the beauty of Milwaukee’s parks and bike trail system: The Oak Leaf Discovery Tour: One Day Bike Challenge.

On Sunday, September 29th, cyclists will gather at the Estabrook Beer Garden at 9am to ride the Oak Leaf Trail in support of the 2nd season of the Oak Leaf Discovery Tour Passport.

Bring your Parks passport, gather stamps along the way and have fun meeting new people and seeing new places. A map of the Oak Leaf Trail and stamping locations will be provided to all participants. Ride as far or as close as you’re comfortable. Our goal is to get as many people on their bikes and into the parks as possible! We also want to get you an opportunity to get those passports filled, so you can enter for prizes at the end of the season (deadline for passport submittals is October 9th, 2013)!

Suggested donation of just $10 gets you a passport booklet and supports the Park People, Friends of Milwaukee County Parks. Already have a booklet? Great! A small $5 would to show your appreciation would be used to help enhance the Oak Leaf Trail system in Milwaukee!

  1. I noticed the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center is closed on Sunday. So if you were trying to get to all 24 parks on your passport this Sunday, Sept.29 you’d have to miss this one.
