This year Wyatt Bicycle Company is donating a special edition Pearl Street Brewery to the bike swap and those in attendance will be able to participate in a silent auction. The proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Wisconsin Bike Fed and Logan Bike Works.
If you are looking for bikes, parts, tools, and accessories to start the new season. Bikes Limited, Blue Heron, Smith’s Cycle and Fitness, River Trail Cycles, Wheel and Sprocket, and Blue Dog bike shops will set up tables to entice shoppers with buys on last year’s models as well as gears and accessories.
In addition to finding great buys from the bike shops, independent vendors will be selling new and gently used bicycle merchandise and accessories. It is a great place to find something to get you started for the season.
It will also be a great time to check in with some of the folks in the area who are working on bicycle projects and events. The DRBC will be available to talk about their work. You can chat with the La Crosse FreeRide and ORA and find out about the work they are doing with the mountain bike trails and silent sports. Some of our community leaders who work to bring local tours and events to our area will also be present: Minds in Motion, Labor Day Bike Festival, Communities Off n’ Funning.
We also have representation from some local bicycle builders. Blue Steel Fabrications builds steel bicycle frames and does frame repair.
Wyatt Bicycle Company will be there to sell some bikes as well as provide a bike for a silent auction.
If you have a bike to sell, bring it to the door on Saturday. For $5, you can label your bike with your name and selling information and leave it in the bike bike corral while you shop. All sales are between buyer and seller. Any bikes left in the corral at 2 pm, can be taken home or donated to Logan Bike Works.
Stop by to show your support…you don’t want to miss out on this fantastic event!
