More members. More voices.
Right now too many policy makers can’t seem to hear us.
Despite heart wrenching testimony from families of cyclists killed by inattentive drivers our vulnerable users bill will not pass this session. And state funding for trails and other projects took a hit in the last budget.
The lesson? We’re strong but we need to get stronger. We’ve got a voice but it needs to get louder.
That can only happen if more of us join the chorus. That’s where you come in. Do you know a cyclist who isn’t a Bike Fed member? Maybe it’s a fellow club rider or a coworker who commutes by bike or a family
member who is an avid mountain biker.
From now until the end of Bike to Work Week on May 17th we’re on a mission to grow our numbers and raise our voice.
We’ve provided some nice incentives including a Door County Century weekend package, Trek bikes, and “Bike Fuel” pint glasses.
It’s cool stuff, but that’s not the main reason to help build our numbers. The reason to do it is that we can only make biking better and safer for everyone if we have the clout that membership provides.
With every new person who joins us our voice gets louder in Madison and at the local level all across the state.
So, please, help us make biking better in Wisconsin. Join our Strength in Numbers Campaign. Read below about how you can help.
Here’s how it works.
The Strength In Numbers Campaign goes from now through Bike To Work Week, ending on May 17th.
1. Recruit your friends and family! Encourage them to list your name as the person who referred them to join. Extra selling point – everyone who joins between now and May 17th will be entered to win a Trek bicycle as well! Recruit at least 5 members and receive a FREE Bike Fed pint glass.
2. For every person you recruit, your name will be entered in the drawing for a Trek 7.1 FX or X Caliber bicycle. You will be able to choose the size and the style of our bicycle, should you win. The more people you recruit, the better chance you have at winning!
3. The person who recruits the most new members will receive a Door County getaway package, including:
