Honoring Chris “Red” Vogts

Calling Wisconsin!

While biking, walking and moving around to different events on the summer solstice on Saturday June 21, we would love to invite you to join a celebration and dedication of a new Bike Rest Area in the Bison Prairie Gateway on the Southwest path and Midvale Boulevard in Madison.

From 12-1pm, family, friends, and community will celebrate the ongoing and empowering impact of cyclist and friend, Chris “Red” Vogts with a few words of welcome for everyone. The dedication ceremony will intdoduce the new bike rest and repair area where we can work together on our bicycles and build community.

The gathering will also include a potluck lunch and then continue with a group ride to some of the hundreds of public concerts (Make Music Madison) taking place this day. Please bring food to pass!

For more info feel free to contact Zachary Barnes at central@wisconsinbikefed.org or visit the Christopher “Red” Vogts Madison Memorial Dedication this Saturday.

  1. This is beautiful. Red was a hell of a guy, and he would have loved knowing that this was done in his honor….although his humble demeanor would not have allowed him to brag about it.

    Well done to all involved.

  2. Musical Bike Parade Leaving Budget Bicycles @ 1124 Regent St. @11:20AM Look for K-RAD, STICK, or DONUT (and Zac).
