Everyone at the Bike Fed is fiercely proud of Wisconsin cycling, and we couldn’t be happier to brag about great our home state cyclocross racing scene in our new book, ENDURE. ENDURE is a limited-edition (1,500 copies) lithographed, case-bound hardcover book which immortalizes those who endured the Wisconsin weather and crossed the line in triumph, regardless of their placing, at the 2013 USA Cyclocross Nationals last January in Verona.
Between the covers you will find 108 pages of epic cyclocross action in more than 300 photographs by Peter DiAntoni, Darren Hauck, Jeffrey Phelps and yours truly. Production and design of the coffee table quality book was done by the multi-talented Peter DiAntoni, who also designs our quarterly magazine as well as his own publication, COG Magazine. I asked my long-time friend, Green Bay native and current California-based cycling journalist Gary Boulanger to be our scribe. You can find more work by individuals from the creative team, known as Lab414, at their website Lab414.com.
In addition to photographs, you will find personal interviews with Gary Fisher, who raced the first official USA Cyclocross Nationals in 1975; Katie Compton, KFC, ranked #1 ranked female cyclocross in the world; Katie Antonneau, the Kenosha motor and U23 champ, Tim Johnson, six-time national cyclocross champ; and more.
The Bike Fed and the members of Lab414 would like to send a special thanks out to our friends at Hanson Dodge Creative for hosting a packed out book signing last week! The entire team at HDC proved once again that they really know cycling and how to throw a party!
