Fire Up Your Feet Challenge winners from across the State!


 
What an exciting Fire Up Your Feet October 2014 challenge!  In total 28 schools and 2,331 school staff, parents, and kids across Wisconsin tracked their physical activities to compete for their share of $5,000 courtesy of AAA Wisconsin and People For Bikes.

The Fire Up Your Feet Program helps encourage families, students and schools to work together and create active lifestyles which inspire our children to be healthy and physically active.

Here is the extensive amount of awards earned by the schools who won in various categories.  These schools will put the money earned towards things like gym equipment, bike racks, or safety materials to get and keep more kids biking walking and being active in their everyday lives.

Second Place Award $800 Riverside Elementary Fond Du Lac
Third Place Award $500 Lake View Elementary Madison
Small School Award $200 Holy Ghost-Immaculate Conception, Kieler Kieler
People for Bikes Challenge Award $500 Fernwood Montessori Milwaukee
Fire Up Your Walk to School Award $300 Siefert School Milwaukee
Region Award – Dane County $300 Lake View Elementary Madison
Region Award – Milwaukee Public Schools $300 Milwaukee Parkside Milwaukee
Region Award – La Crosse County $300 Mount Calvary-Grace Lutheran La Crosse
Region Award – East Central Wisconsin $300 Riverside Elementary Fond Du Lac
Week 1 Award $100 Lake View Elementary Madison
Week 2 Award $100 Riverside Elementary Fond Du Lac
Week 3 New School Award $100 Lake View Elementary Madison
Week 3 (Old Skool) Award $100 Readfield Elementary Readfield
Week 4 Award $100 Riverside Elementary Fond Du Lac
Since we began doing these challenges in 2013, one in spring one in the fall, there have been 3,595 92 735,411
