Dirt Tester Matt Here, If you were not able to join us on the October Wisconsin mountain bike advocacy call here is another chance to listen in. On this call Allison Slavick and Ron Bergin gave us some valuable insight as to how CAMBA (Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association) was able to be so successful in creating this first annual Boogie in the Barn fundraiser/gala event.
CAMBA’s success is a testament to the many years of hard work by all those who have supported the CAMBA club. Any mountain bike clubs success depends upon using all of it’s members and supporters gifts and talents. CAMBA has really come into it’s own as a model club and perhaps could not have pulled this kind of event off 5 or 10 years ago. The more I travel around the state and see other mountain bike clubs working hard, forging relationships, improving there communities, and becoming more successful, much like CAMBA, the more I realize the value of a call like this one. I hope this call gives other mountain bike clubs the confidence to dream big, and to continue to try new things like the Boogie In The Barn. You might just amaze yourselves :).
