Bike Summit this Saturday

It’s not too late!

You can still register for this weekend’s Wisconsin Bike Summit. It takes place this Saturday at the Radisson Hotel in beautiful La Crosse. We get underway with registration at 8:30 AM.

There will be 15 interesting sessions, including a presentation on the exciting U.S. Bike Routes system planning for Wisconsin, the vulnerable users law, senior cycling, adapting bicycles for children with disabilities, using social media to build your local bike organization and more. I’ll lead a discussion on the direction of the Bike Fed’s advocacy program.

We’ll be greeted by La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat and our lunch time keynote speaker is Prof. James Longhurst author of the new book, “Bike Battles: A History of Sharing the American Road.”

An optional happy hour will take place on the roof top of the beautiful Charmant Hotel.

And, of course, before or after the Summit you can enjoy the amazing cycling opportunities in the La Crosse area, including the Great River State Trail and, of course, the famous Elroy-Sparta Trail is not that far away.

So, come rub shoulders with your fellow Wisconsinites who share your love of cycling, learn some stuff and just have a great time in La Crosse.
