Tour d’ Briq’s fundraiser to benefit Cycling Without Age- Marathon County. This event will start and finish from the Aspirus (Weston) YMCA, and is open to the public.
Participants must wear a helmet, and a red hi-viz taillight is recommended. Participants may choose a ride group that visits 2, 3, or all 4 Briq’s Soft Serve locations in the Wausau / Mosinee area and may choose any ice cream treat off the menu free of charge at each location that the ride stops at. Briq’s donates all of the ice cream treats for the event, while the Wheelers donate all of the proceeds from the event each year to the Cycling Without Age- Marathon County chapter each year.
Registration will be in the parking lot at the Weston YMCA the day of the event from 10:30-11::30am, with rides leaving at 11:30am. Public participants are encouraged to stick with the 2 or 3 stop rides, which will have average paces more suited to casual riders who are not accomplished, group savvy cyclists. The faster ride groups will push 17 mph and up to 23 mph for 35 to 50 miles. While these are no drop group rides, we want to match the riders abilities to the group they want to ride with for the event.
