DESCRIPTION:The Verona Police Department is excited to invite families to t
 he 11th Annual Bike Safety Rodeo on Sunday\, May 17\, 2026\, from 1:00 to 
 3:00 p.m. at the Verona City Center parking lot\, 111 Lincoln Street.\n\nT
 his free\, family-friendly event is designed to teach children the importa
 nce of safe bicycling through fun\, hands-on skill-building stations. Youn
 g riders will navigate through a series of fun challenges\, including the 
 Driveway Ride-Out\, Controlled Braking stations\, and a final course that 
 ties all the safety lessons together.\n\nThe event will be staffed by Vero
 na Police Department officers\, with support from volunteers from the Vero
 na Lions Club\, Verona Optimist Club\, Verona Police Cadets\, and Fitch-Ro
 na EMS bicycle paramedics.\n\nNew this year\, representatives from the Wis
 consin Bike Fed will provide education on e-bikes\, along with professiona
 l helmet fittings for participants.\n\nChildren must bring their own bicyc
 les and helmets. Parents are welcome to participate\, too! In addition to 
 the skill building stations\, free bike safety checks and licensing will b
 e available during the event.
