Come explore the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant grounds at the Sauk Prairie State Recreation Area. Choose from multiple route options that include a scenic 11-mile spin, a 24-mile route that takes you to every corner of the property, including a trip to the top of the bluff, or test yourself with a longer 50 mile route and two trips up the bluff!
The short route is family-friendly, mostly flat, and has one very short climb that can be easily walked if necessary. Water and restroom facilities are available at the start/finish line. Riders on all routes will experience pavement, gravel, dirt, grass, and old rough asphalt.
This is not a race, but if you want to time yourself and compete with your friends, go for it! The ride is completely self-supported, so bring anything you think you will need and dress for the weather – the event will be held rain or shine. All proceeds go to support the Baraboo Area Mountain Bike Association (BAMBA) in our mission to develop bike trails in the Sauk County area.
Food trucks will be on hand. The Museum of Badger Army Ammunition will be open all day.
