Celebrate National Bike Month and Bike to Work Day in Fitchburg with Mayor Julia Arata-Frata!
We will assemble at the McKee Farms Park BCycle bike share station (north of the main shelter) at 7:00 a.m. for pictures, media interviews, and a safety briefing. At 7:15 a.m. we’ll roll out for a 1.1-mile ride to Fitchburg City Hall on the Fitchburg Greenway System, Fitchburg’s dense network of multi-use paths, to remind Fitchburg residents that 40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles and bikes are a great way to get around. At City Hall at 7:30 a.m., there will be a short media conference, presentation of Bicycle Friendly Business awards, and interviews.
We hope you can join us on Bike to Work Day for this celebration of fun, healthy, green, and inexpensive transportation!
