Little Bellas Madison Mountain Bike Weekly Program

Sep 8 - Oct 27

When

Sep 8 - Oct 27 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

The Little Bellas Madison Mountain Bike Weekly Program meets for eight weeks in September and October at Quarry Ridge and Seminole trail systems. The program welcomes girls and non-binary kids of any and all abilities to have fun, ride bikes, play games, and learn skills for mountain biking. No prior experience mountain biking is needed. Over the course of eight weeks, mentors will work with kids at their own pace to challenge themselves on new trails with different features. Little Bellas is about getting outside, building confidence, and having girls support and inspire each other. This program is for riding and promoting a love for mountain biking and is not focused on competition.

During each two-hour session, participants and mentors will go for a group trail ride, have a snack break, and play on-the-bike games designed to build confidence and skills. Quarry Ridge boasts a kids bike park and pavilion for snacks, while the Seminole trails can give participants their first taste of mountain biking in a more natural, wooded area. Both program meeting locations are easily accessible via the paved bike path. The program is held on Monday afternoons during the academic year to provide an after-school activity for kids with MMSD early release.

Financial assistance and free equipment (bikes!) are available- please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form. This program supports both English and Spanish-speaking participants. Open to ages 7-13.
