The Wisconsin Bike Fed and the Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail are co-hosting this casual group ride to the Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves game at American Family Field on the WDNR’s Hank Aaron State Trail (HAST). The ride will be part of the Bike Fed’s Milwaukee Bike Week festivities as well as a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the HAST.
Hall of Famer Hank Aaron’s legendary professional baseball career included playing for both the Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves and finishing with the Brewers. In retirement from baseball, Mr. Aaron’s passion encouraged healthy lifestyles through exercise for youngsters.
The east and west starting points for the rides will be selected that feature free parking. The routes will be off-road on the paved HAST, with the east and west rides converging in the ballpark parking lot and riding in unison to a pre-game tailgate party with a secure bike coral for bike parking. The return ride after the game is on your own; be sure to have bike lights if riding in the dark. Starting points, game ticket, and tailgate arrangements are in the works with information provided at a later date at the events page.
