The city of New Richmond is in the process of building a new off-road trail facility off of County road K for cyclists, hikers, and other trail users traveling through the area. Additionally the city is beginning work on a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program to provide a safe mode of transportation for students who are close enough to the school to walk or bike.
New Richmond applied for Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding in the spring of 2023, and were awarded $1,019,936 for the construction of the off-road trail facility. Bike Fed employees will continue working with the city as needed to assist with New Richmond’s SRTS program.
