Ride For Your Life 2026
A bike ride, walk, and rally to prevent tragedy.
On a beautiful fall day, October 4, 2026, caring people rode bikes, walked, and rallied at Wisconsin’s state capitol for a very important reason.
Hundreds of cyclists and pedestrians gathered in Madison for Ride For Your Life to honor the life of Sasha Rosen and others lost to traffic violence. Senator Kelda Roys shared remarks before the ride, and Representative Russell Goodwin delivered an excellent speech about Assembly Bill 655, Sasha’s Bill, which would give Wisconsin courts a new tool to address excessive speeding and reckless driving.
The energy and determination at the Capitol made clear that Wisconsinites are ready for meaningful action to prevent traffic violence. If you weren’t able to attend, you can still help.
- When legislators return to session, they need to hear from you. Plan to contact your state representative and senator and ask them to support AB 655/SB 659, Sasha’s Bill. Tell them that creating safer streets for constituents requires action from elected officials.
- Consider attending the national Families for Safe Streets webinar “Stop Super Speeders Webinar” on November 12th.
There is no reason for another Wisconsin family to endure a preventable tragedy. Together, we can turn the momentum from Ride For Your Life into meaningful change.
