Spread Holiday Spirit by bike! Register for free and buy some custom gaiters and face masks!

Our holiday wish? A record-breaking 3000+ joyful, costumed riders cycling side by side through the streets hugging and high fiving. After months of agonizing over how we can safely produce a traditional Rampage, however, the Bike Fed staff acknowledges that this would land us on Santa’s naughty list.

To be honest, the Bike Fed relies on the funds raised from the over six hundred revelers who pay to ride in a typical year (that’s right about 2,400 bad santas never pay for this ride), plus t-shirt sales and contributions from our partner drinking establishments. But we cannot, in good conscience, ignore the fact that the rates of new COVID-19 infections are off the charts in Wisconsin.

Please keep the Santa Rampage alive in your heart by dressing up and riding alone or with your household on December 5th. We are not encouraging groups of riders, not from the same house, to drink or gather at any bars or restaurants overwhelming staff who are already barely making it through these tough times and working hard to keep themselves safe. If you wish to support through carryout, delivery, gift cards etc. please contact that business though their advertised channels and be aware of protocols they are implementing.

You can still support the Bike Fed by registering (for free) and buying some custom, limited quantity winter gaiters or facemasks. For those in the Milwaukee area that are registered details on a socially distanced scavenger hunt will be emailed to all registered riders.

As a reminder, Bike Fed staff will not be working any stops. Streets will not be closed. There is no start or end time. Police will not be escorting you. Please follow traffic laws and wear your face covering. Be safe and respect the health and safety of others.

We are asking riders to channel the spirit of Santa. While out riding on Saturday please consider dropping off bags of rice or beans, as well as new, unused youth winter gear. Help keep kids warm with donations of hats, mittens, socks, and scarves etc at the donation box outside our new office location, 187 E. Becher St. Milwaukee WI, 53207. Please drop off in box outside main entrance in parking lot from 11am – 4pm Saturday, December 5th.

These items will be distributed to Lincoln Ave Community School and Zablocki Community School, a few of our Safe Routes to School partners. Watch this video about Lincoln Ave’s nationally recognized Walking School Bus program.

Want to participate in other communities? Please consider dressing up, going for a ride, and supporting specific needs at your local food pantry or community support organizations. Imagine if hundreds of people all across the state showed up in costume to spread cheer to those less fortunate! Tag us in a pic and we’ll share it on our Instagram

Don’t feel safe being around others? You can still register and buy items and wear them on any ride you go on while knowing your purchase helped support the work we do so that when we can ride together again it is that much better of an experience.
