This seven mile proposed path will connect the Villages of East Troy and Mukwonago along the East Troy Electric Railroad Corridor and adjacent low volume roads. This path will serve the six camps and parks that are between the two villages. It will allow pedestrian and bike access to each village’s centers of commerce and will serve as an arterial/ backbone path for future “spurs” to the Lake Beulah area and beyond. Once in Mukwonago, there is connectivity to paths that service the Milwaukee Metro area.
This is considered a major link that will allow residents and visitors to bike or walk to the many events held in each community every year. With the added connection to the paths in the Metro Milwaukee area, it will allow urban bicyclists the ability to safely reach East Troy and the less densely populated areas to the west.
