Explore “The Many Faces of Carson Park” by bike on a tour led by Chippewa Valley Museums Archivist Jodi Kiffmeyer. In addition to learning about the better known and beloved landmarks of the park, participants will discover the story of a “young scamp” who had a hideout on Half Moon Lake, plans for an artificial “lake” in the center of the park, and the location of a pest house used for scarlet fever quarantine. $5 registration includes a small dish or cone in Chippewa Valley Museums’ ice cream parlor following the ride.
• This tour is limited to 20 registered participants (no registration required for children younger than 5 yrs)
• Start location and other details will be emailed to registrants the day before the tour
This tour is made possible with research support from Tim Hirsch and in partnership with Bike Chippewa Valley as part of Wisconsin Bike Week.
