Kern Park Kross from Gelbbrücke – Spirit of Sport brings a full day of cyclocross (and tracklo-kross) for all ages and skill levels. Jump into a stiff-but-friendly competition and put your cycling skills to the test on a course that weaves and winds through Riverwest’s Kern Park, sending you over many obstacles and across multiple terrains.
Can you get the hole shot? How fast can you run the barriers? Will you stay upright on the off-camber hill? Can you ride the Belgian stairs?
Pre-register before midnight on Wednesday, November 4 to save $10 on the day. First-time women/non-binary/trans-folks can email us to save an additional $15 on top of that.
Spectator-friendly viewing
Kern Park Kross is a spectator friendly course which doubles back on itself six times, so you’re never far from the action, nor the big beats from DJ Topher and the Red Bull DJ truck.
All ages and skill levels welcome
Racing starts at age 9 and up (or age 8 if you know your cyclocross racing age) but there is a free under-8 race as well. The afternoon of racing concludes with a Tracklo-kross competition—cyclocross on fixed gear bikes—no coasting allowed.
Food, drink and photography
You’ll want to be the first to get your hands on a 4-pack of Amorphic’s newest Kern Park Kross-themed beer, called Sciurus & Procyon. Last year’s beer sold out fast!
Don Pastor’s food truck will be on hand for good eats, and Zachary Seib Photography will be roaming the course to document the day.
