FREE- Little Bellas Give it a Whirl Day! Register now for programming to introduce young girls to mountain biking.
This September 9, 2024 a FREE program is coming to Madison, WI from Little Bellas. This program will introduce girls ages 7-13 to mountain biking in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
What happens during Give It a Whirl Day?
Little Bellas will send a team of experienced mentors to work with local volunteers to run this one-day program. Staff will be CPR/AED and First Aid Certified as well as passing background checks.
- Participants arrive, check-in, and get name tags
- Play on-bike games
- Divide participants into smaller groups based on age and bike confidence
- Hit the trails for a mentor-led ride that includes a few water and snack breaks
- Return to the pavilion for additional games and to wrap up!

What is special about this Madison program?
This Madison chapter of Little Bellas is designed to meet the needs of participants from diverse backgrounds so that we can grow the community of girls on bikes.
- Scholarship bikes and helmets are available
- Snack will be provided
- Bilingual mentor support is available for spanish-speaking participants
- The location is accessible by bike and does not require a car for drop-off
- The program is scheduled for a MMSD early release day to provide a safe and structured after-school activity
- All are welcome!
What is Little Bellas?
Little Bellas is an organization that teaches young girls to ride mountain bikes. Little Bellas uses the mountain bike as a “vehicle” for bigger life lessons about independence, confidence, building friendships, and living life with a healthy mindset.
While this program is centered around creating female/non-binary camaraderie on bikes, it is most importantly about having fun in a constructive environment.
