Join the Greater Waupaca Area Parks and Trails (GWAPT) for the Memorial Day Ride on Saturday, May 24th, a meaningful journey honoring veterans while showcasing the scenic beauty and history of Waupaca County. This 100-mile ride features stops at six significant memorials, including the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Iola Veterans Memorial, Marion Veterans Memorial, Clintonville Veterans Memorial, New London Veterans Memorial, and Manawa Veterans Memorial. Each location tells the story of those who dedicated their lives to serving our nation.
For riders seeking a shorter challenge, additional distance options are available to ensure participants of all levels can join in this meaningful event.
Fifty percent of the funds raised will support efforts to recover and identify service members missing in action from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, including 1,500 MIAs from Wisconsin. By joining this ride, you’ll reflect on the sacrifices of our veterans while contributing to an important cause that brings closure to their families.
