To celebrate the grand opening of the center, we’re inviting you to come to a ribbon cutting with donuts, juice, and coffee. After the ceremony, hike or bike on the trail east or west. You can start anytime after 9:30 AM. We’ll have ATVs providing support and gear until noon in Shawano County. You’re welcome to continue your activity later than noon, just note that you’ll be unsupported.
We encourage you to bring water, snacks, and other items to make a day of it. Stop at any of the shelters along the trail to have a BYO picnic. Or stop at any of the “trail-towns” along the way to build your own adventure of good eats and treats.
The trail is predominately composed of crushed limestone. However, there is a section of the trail that is on-road if you travel west of Shawano.
