The Verona Police Department is excited to invite families to the 11th Annual Bike Safety Rodeo on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Verona City Center parking lot, 111 Lincoln Street.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to teach children the importance of safe bicycling through fun, hands-on skill-building stations. Young riders will navigate through a series of fun challenges, including the Driveway Ride-Out, Controlled Braking stations, and a final course that ties all the safety lessons together.
The event will be staffed by Verona Police Department officers, with support from volunteers from the Verona Lions Club, Verona Optimist Club, Verona Police Cadets, and Fitch-Rona EMS bicycle paramedics.
New this year, representatives from the Wisconsin Bike Fed will provide education on e-bikes, along with professional helmet fittings for participants.
Children must bring their own bicycles and helmets. Parents are welcome to participate, too! In addition to the skill building stations, free bike safety checks and licensing will be available during the event.
