The Shamrock Shuffle, hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, has been a beloved tradition for over 20 years, bringing together thousands of runners, walkers, and now—for the first time—bikers for a high-energy event that fuels fun and supports a great cause.

Whether you’re looking to run your fastest 5K or 10K, take a scenic walk through downtown Madison, or hop on your bike for our brand-new 10K ride, this is an event you won’t want to miss. The streets will be packed with energy and a sea of green as thousands come together to move, celebrate, and give back.

This year, we’re rolling out new features to make the Shamrock Shuffle even more exciting:

• 10K Bike Ride – For the first time ever, we’re adding a bike wave! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist looking for a challenge or a casual rider who loves a scenic ride, this 10K course offers just the right mix of hills, fun, and family-friendly excitement.

• Referral Program – Get Rewarded for Sharing the Fun – Know five people who would love to join? If you refer five friends, your registration is completely free. There’s no better way to spread the excitement!

Walk, Run and Roll for a Good Cause

With 3,000 runners, walkers, bikers, and spectators expected, this will be one of the biggest and most exciting Shamrock Shuffles yet. Rain or shine, the event kicks off at 8:00am on the 600 block of State Street.

Beyond the excitement, the Shamrock Shuffle is about something even bigger—supporting the youth of our community. Proceeds from this event directly benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, funding life-changing programs that help children and teens succeed through:

• AVID/TOPS Program – Focuses on supporting students to develop the writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization and reading skills needed to be college and career ready.

• Workforce Development in Skilled Trades – In partnership with Madison Area Builders Association, we’re training and mentoring the next generation of skilled workers, preparing young people for stable, well-paying careers in high-demand industries.

• After-School and Preschool Programs – Providing safe, supportive spaces where kids can learn, grow, and thrive.
