The Green Lakes Connector will be a one mile, paved, non-motorized, multi-use path on the east side of County A in Green Lake that will connect to Lauree’s Trail. Upon completion it will create a six-mile multi-use off-road recreation and commuter path between downtown Green Lake and the city of Ripon. The proposed trail provides easy access to the Green Lake County Government Center, the largest employer in Green Lake County, as well as a healthcare clinic, grocery store, convenience store and a senior residential facility.
Local stakeholders and project leads applied for Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding in the very competitive spring 2023 round, but did not receive funding. Another TAP application was submitted on behalf of Lauree’s trail for the fall 2023 round.
