The Bike Fed will be hosting an Advocacy Day at the Capitol on March 9th, 2023 – join us!
Our goal is to gather bike advocates in Madison to meet with legislators to showcase the successes of the cycling and trails communities around Wisconsin. In addition to showcasing our successes, we want to illustrate the continued need for political and financial support in order to appropriately address and service each corner of the state when it comes to trails, cycling, safe routes to school, and education opportunities.
During our legislative day of advocacy, we will be meeting at the Best Western “Inn on the Park” right on the Capitol Square, across the street from the capitol building. There, we will have a brief introductory lunch meeting, conduct a “legislative briefing” session and pass out printed materials for participants to share with their legislators. The purpose of the legislative briefing will be to ensure that all participants feel confident and knowledgeable before heading over to meet with electeds. After everyone is done attending their legislative meetings, we will rendezvous for an informal happy hour (location TBD) for those who want to stick around to debrief and provide feedback.
If you are interested in joining the Bike Fed and our partners for this event, please fill out this Advocacy Day Form to indicate your attendance and lunch preferences.
