The Masākāēw Trail, a 29-mile signed route, can be ridden in pieces for younger or less hardy riders. We will point these out at the time of registration at South Park Upper Shelter. The route consists of 24 miles of paved town roads and a 5-mile section of the Tomorrow River Trail which is gravel (ask about an alternate paved route).
Masākāēw is a Menominee word for “crossing over water” which it does ten times. We named it this to acknowledge the original land of the Menominees through which the trail runs.
This will be a fundraising event for our 2023-24 Waupa-Wega Trail, a 21-mile loop from Waupaca to Weyauwega and back.
The registration fee of $50 includes a T-shirt, door prizes and lunch the day of the ride. Lunch will be served until 2 pm.
To register go to www.commonrootsrising.org/gwapt/ Payment can be made online, or directions are given online for snail mail payment.
